Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates

Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates P.C. has been serving Wellesley and the surrounding communities since 1972. Our providers have focused on giving the highest quality of medical and surgical skincare treatments to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and senior patients. We do offer a variety of cosmetic treatments with an emphasis on the dermatologic health of the patient.

The medical practice consists of four board-certified dermatologists. Their combined interests include the diagnosis and treatment of skin growths and cancer, pediatric and adolescent dermatology, cutaneous infectious diseases, and cosmetic dermatology. Our providers are affiliated with Newton Wellesley Hospital and Partners Healthcare System.

Our team also consists of two certified Physician Assistants who specialize in dermatology. Our Physician Assistants are graduates of accredited Physician Assistant educational programs and are state-licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician. They diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions that are treated medically, surgically, and cosmetically, for both pediatric and adult patients, and they have their own schedule of patients. The Physician Assistants hold prescribing licenses and are able to write prescriptions.

All of our providers and staff at Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, P.C. work as a team to achieve our goal, which is the highest quality of care for all our patients.

Michael L. Goldaber, MD

Michael L. Goldaber, MD Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, P.C.

Dr. Goldaber attended Albany Medical College , where he graduated in 1986 as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the recipient of several awards.  Prior to medical school, he graduated from Union College with a joint degree in history and biology.  After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Goldaber completed his internship in Internal Medicine at University Hospital, Boston University Medical Center Boston, MA, and then did a two-year Dermatology Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital.  He subsequently trained in the Dermatology Residency Program at the New York University Skin and Cancer Center in Manhattan.

In 1992, Dr. Goldaber joined Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates and relocated the practice to Wellesley, MA.  He has been in full-time clinical practice since that time.  Dr. Goldaber is board certified in Dermatology and recertified in 2002 and 2012. He is a member of multiple professional societies and has served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology .  Dr. Goldaber practices medical and surgical dermatology and has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin growths and cancer. He is the father of four and lives with his family in Dover.

Elaine T. Kaye, MD

Elaine T. Kaye, MD Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, P.C.

Dr. Kaye is a graduate of Harvard Medical School . Prior to medical school, she graduated from Harvard University summa cum laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She also received the Detur Prize and was a John Harvard Scholar. After receiving her medical degree in 1988, Dr. Kaye trained in the combined Harvard Dermatology Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she was the Director of the Dermatology Resident Outpatient Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital until 1994 when she joined Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates.

In addition to Dr. Kaye's adult practice, she has a special interest in pediatric dermatology. Dr. Kaye is an attending physician at Boston Children's Hospital. She is board certified in both General and Pediatric Dermatology.

Dr. Kaye is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. She has written and lectured on such topics as pediatric and adolescent dermatology, as well as cutaneous infectious diseases. She is a member of multiple professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology and the New England Dermatological Society .

David S. Aghassi, MD

David S. Aghassi, MD Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, P.C.

Dr. Aghassi holds degrees from Brown University , the Massachusetts Institute of Technology , and the Yale University School of Medicine .  Upon receiving his medical degree in 1994, he received multiple prizes for academics, research, and leadership in medical school, including the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Aghassi trained in the Combined Harvard Dermatology Residency Program at the affiliated Harvard hospitals in Boston, where he served as Chief Resident.  He subsequently completed the Dermatology Laser Surgery Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

In 1999, Dr. Aghassi joined Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, where he practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, including laser removal of brown spots and blood vessels.  He is board-certified in Dermatology and is a member of multiple professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery .

Caroline C. Kim, MD

Caroline C. Kim, MD Director, Pigmented Lesion Program

General and Cosmetic Dermatology

Dr. Kim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College and was the recipient of the Harvard National Scholarship Award and the John Harvard Scholarship Award. Dr. Kim completed her medical studies at Harvard Medical School, where she received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship Award to study cancer biology. She finished her medicine internship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and completed her dermatology residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program.

Prior to joining Newton-Wellesley Dermatology Associates in 2019, Dr. Kim was an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, where she served as Director of the Pigmented Lesion Clinic and Associate Director of the Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A nationally recognized expert in melanoma, atypical moles, dermoscopy, and total body digital photography, Dr. Kim has built her career with a passion for advancing and optimizing care for patients. She is interested in medical innovations and technologies to improve patient care and is invited regularly to teach and speak at professional meetings. Dr. Kim has published numerous research articles influencing patient management in top-tier medical journals such as JAMA Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. In 2019, Dr. Kim also joined the Department of Dermatology at Tufts Medical Center as Director of Melanoma and Pigmented Lesions.

As Director of the Pigmented Lesion Program at Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates, Dr. Kim offers skin cancer screening, mole exams and utilizes dermoscopy and mole mapping with innovative digital imaging technology. In addition, Dr. Kim is dedicated to delivering compassionate care to general and cosmetic dermatology patients, offering cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, and laser removal of blood vessels and brown spots. Dr. Kim is a board-certified dermatologist, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of multiple national societies, holding national leadership positions including Chair of the National Pigmented Lesion Subcommittee collaborative research group. Having grown up locally, Dr. Kim is honored to be serving her community.

Daihung Do, MD

Dr. Diahung Do, MD We are pleased to welcome Dr. Do to our practice. Dr. Daihung Do is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who specializes in the treatment of skin cancer with a compassionate, caring philosophy coupled with technical expertise in Mohs surgery and meticulous reconstruction. He graduated magna cum laude with the highest honors from Harvard College. He received his medical school education at Harvard Medical School where he was a Howard Hughes Medical Fellow. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and his dermatology training at Boston University and Tufts University. He completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and advanced cosmetic and laser surgery at Boston University.

Prior to joining Newton-Wellesley Dermatology Associates, Dr. Do served as Director of Dermatologic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for 13 years and directed a team of 5 Mohs surgeons. He was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. He was the Faculty Director of Dermatologic Surgery Education for 7 years. He has trained numerous residents and directed the surgical curriculum at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program. He has an interest in technological innovations in Mohs surgery. He has multiple publications and book chapters. He has previously served as Assistant Section Editor of Evidenced-based Dermatology for JAMA Dermatology.
Dr. Do is a board-certified dermatologist, and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology.

Marya Woodruff Ochs, MHS, PA-C

Marya Woodruff Ochs, MHS, PA-C Ms. Ochs is an honors graduate of Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry.  She completed her physician assistant training and earned a Master of Health Science with distinction in 2000 at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.

After receiving board certification as a physician assistant, Ms. Ochs joined Advanced DermCare, PC in Danbury, Connecticut where she practiced medical and surgical dermatology.  There, she developed an interest in allergic contact dermatitis and patch testing.  Ms. Ochs also served at Quinnipiac University as Adjunct Faculty and Clinical Preceptor to physician assistant students.

In 2005, Ms. Ochs relocated to the Boston area and joined Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates.  Her interests include medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.  She welcomes new patients and enjoys caring for infants, children, and adults.  Ms. Ochs has a special interest in skin allergy testing as well as diagnosing and managing acute rashes and skin infections.  She finds getting to know families one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.

Ms. Ochs has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants since 2000.  She is also a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Physician Assistants and the Massachusetts Dermatology Physician Assistant Society.

Ms. Ochs lives in Milton with her husband and two children.

Sneha Patel Campanella, MPA-C

Sneha Patel Campanella, MPA-C Sneha Patel Campanella is a board-certified Physician Associate. She has worked at the Weil Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine and the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine in New York City. In 2003, PA Sneha Patel Campanella began her dermatology career at Essex Dermatology in Connecticut. The following year, she relocated to Boston and joined Boston Dermatology and Laser Center where she broadened her experience in medical and surgical dermatology. While there, she developed a special interest in laser therapy and lectured for the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery at the National Convention.

In 2010, PA Sneha Patel Campanella joined Newton Wellesley Dermatology Associates and is committed to offering compassionate adult and pediatric patient care. She practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology including Botox, chemical peels, removal of brown spots, and laser removal of blood vessels. She has a special interest/passion in Integrative Dermatology and Ayurvedic Medicine. She is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and has completed an Integrative Dermatology Essentials Certification, and continues to broaden her knowledge base in these areas. As part of the Integrative Dermatology Movement, she hopes to help bridge eastern and western medical approaches to patient care.

She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Learn skin Integrative Dermatology Community, and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.

PA Sneha Patel Campanella lives in Needham with her husband, three children and their dog, Hagen. She lives a healthy, active lifestyle in order to be the best version of herself for her patients, family, and friends. In her free time she enjoys learning, yoga and meditation, being in nature, traveling, and eating good food with friends and family.

Melissa J. Sansone, MHS, PA-C

Sneha Patel Campanella, MPA-C

Melissa Sansone is a board certified physician associate who has had a dynamic career dedicated to dermatology. A proud alumna of Fordham University with a BS in Biology, Melissa furthered her education at Quinnipiac University, earning a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. 

Her professional journey began at a small dermatology practice in Nashua NH. From there, she joined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Department of Dermatology, where she gained invaluable experience shaping her expertise. Melissa was one of the founding clinical instructors of the Tufts Physician Assistant programs and was the clinical instructor of dermatology for the PA program for 9 years.

Over the years, she has contributed significantly to the field of dermatology. Now, she is excited to embark on a new chapter as part of Newton-Wellesley Dermatology Associates. She is experienced in caring for children and adults and practices medical and surgical dermatology.

Beyond the realm of dermatology, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and her dog.
